Mission

The mission of the American Fascial Distortion Model Association (AFDMA) is to promote the use of the Fascial Distortion Model to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries and medical conditions, by:

1. Informing and educating the medical community about the Fascial Distortion Model
2. Establishing certification standards for FDM practitioners and instructors in the United States
3. Providing training and certification for FDM practitioners and instructors
4. Promoting and funding research on the application of the Fascial Distortion Model
5. Working in cooperation with the European FDM Association (EFDMA), the FDM Asia Association (FAA), and the African FDM Society (AFDMS) to coordinate standards of certification and training worldwide
6. Informing and educating the public about the Fascial Distortion Model
7. Promoting the appropriate use of the FDM by well-trained health professionals in the US and the Americas

 The AFDMA is a non-profit corporation approved by the IRS as a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and classified as a public charity. Contributions are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
